While I have enjoyed many of my own original settings, sometimes it is fun to use a popular (or not so popular) setting for creating original content. Much in the same way traditional fan-fiction adds to these settings, using them for roleplay allows for groups to create all new stories together.
I attempt to make something creative and original out of the original media so that it is not a completely cookie-cutter story. Read the summaries below to see what sort of twists I have created!
Generations before a boy befriended a Night Fury and hundreds of miles south of his island home of Berk, another viking tribe known as the Brutish and their small empire have not only learned to befriend and ride dragons…they have settled a new village on an island occupied by a colony of wild dragons who help other dragons escape from hunters.
This story uses the world and species of How To Train Your Dragon as the backdrop for original settings and timeline.
Everyone knows about the events on Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, where InGen’s Jurassic Park and Site B were the scenes of a disasters in the 1990s before becoming the home to the successful Jurassic World theme park.
What many don’t know is that there is a third island populated by dinosaurs, home to a research facility owned by a company that has been researching live dinosaurs since the 1920s.
This story combines details from Jurassic Park films 1-4, Jurassic Park books and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s 1912 novel “The Lost World.”
