A fairly well known dinosaur, Parasauralophus is easily recognized by the curved tube-like crest extending from the back of its skull. The crest is used for mating displays as well as a unique pitch of mating calls caused by the sinus channel that travels through it.

Parasaurs, like other members of its family, can change from bipedal to quadrupedal standing at will, often traveling on their hind legs but on all fours to graze on grasses and grains.

They are covered in small scales.
