The transportation fleet on the SCGC Costa Rica island complex is managed and maintained by a highly skilled staff of technicians, mechanics and other maintenance staff.

Pride in Operation

Although the island sees few public guests, our fleet team takes great pride in the reliability, appearance and efficiency of the company’s transportation systems. We complete regular and thorough checks of all vehicles, scheduled overhauls and on occasion complete custom builds based on the needs of the various company divisions.

Our facility is a full service operation, with every necessary tool and capability to make repairs to mechanical, computer and structural systems of any vehicle of any type present on the island. Every vehicle is detailed weekly to ensure cleanliness and life of the interior paneling and every vehicle returned to the fleet yard is given a thorough external wash to combat the salt and sand damage caused by the tropical location.

Fleet Management also maintains fuel levels in all vehicles. Primary fuel storage and fueling stations are located at the dock, however a dual tank truck capable of off-road travel is kept on hand and filled with gasoline and diesel while stored at the Fleet Yard and serves for emergency refueling on site at any location around the island.
