Perhaps one of the more unique looking carnivores on Isla Panadero, Dilophosaurus Laetafrustra is a highly decorated mid-sized hunter. This bipedal theropod stands about 6′ (2m) tall and 23(7m) feet long, and likes to run. They keep in social groups of 5-10 most of the time.
These creatures are notorious for the large, flat, rounded crests that adorn the top of their heads at opposing angles. Although thin, these crests are brightly colored with patterns that both attract mates and identify the individual to others. Some assets have been given the proper genes for feathering, however most have a leathery hide with some scaling to better display the pigmentation that naturally occurs in the species.
Unlike the smaller dilophosaurus developed by the International Genetics Corporation on Isla Sorna, our dilophosaurus are closer to the original genotype. This means that our Dilophosaurus do not have neck frills or venom that had been intended as marketing points for that company’s park. Those mutations were found to be caused by the use of DNA sequences from Naja siamensis (Thai Spitting Cobra) and Chlamydosaurus kingii (Frilled Lizard) being used in order to complete the chain for InGen’s creature.
